Colette-GambinoColette Gambino has over 20 years of Executive Search experience conducting searches within the Media, Entertainment, Publishing, Digital Advertising, Financial Services, Retail and Consumer Products sectors. Colette started her career in search at Viacom Inc. in the Corporate Human Resources Department as a generalist servicing both Corporate and its Divisions.

During her tenure she had many roles and received several promotions as the Company grew and acquired new businesses. She successfully worked through mergers and acquisitions including the merger between Viacom and Paramount. Her passion for business strategy and talent led her to become a key player in shaping the Company’s culture. As Viacom’s Corporate Director of Strategic Staffing and Employee Relations, she was responsible for developing and implementing employee relations, recruiting, employment policies, and competitive programs. Her efforts attracted and retained Viacom’s key talent while maintaining a competitive and synergetic working environment. Additionally, she managed the internal recruiting function up to the C-level for the Company and led the recruitment reengineering efforts as the Company changed information platforms.

From 1995-2002 she was a Consultant serving select boutique search firms. Due to her corporate business expertise, strong networking capabilities, knowledge and understanding of the strategic approach to the search process, she was able to maximize her client’s ability to develop and grow their business.

In 2003 Colette formed Alliance Resource Network (ARN) to combine her corporate expertise with her passion for finding key talent and artfully connecting that talent with strategic business opportunities. Her expertise, broad network, and commitment to customer service allowed her to continue to grow ARN’s business including the technical division and win technology and digital-related searches for a portfolio of clients.

Jinny Porto

She began her career recruiting in 1995 for GMR Associates, a technology based search firm where she assisted in the marketing and expansion of GMR beyond its traditional recruiting methods, and was key to its successful transition into online recruiting.

In 1998, Jinny established JKPorto Inc., a successful IT & Executive Search firm where she acquired a reputation as the go-to agency for challenging searches. At JKPorto Inc., she managed all facets of running a boutique search firm, served as a staffing partner directly with employer clients, as well as a back-end recruiting firm for other staffing companies. Selected clients included Cablevision, Publishers Clearing House, Pfizer, itrackr, GlaxoSmithKline, AFMEPF, Sandoz, Peminic, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, SIAC, Deutsche Bank, Elizabeth Arden, Scholastic, Time Inc., Doubleclick, SONY, AON, and Estee Lauder.

Carol Binen

Vice President, Executive Search Consultant

CarolBinenCarol Binen is an executive search professional with a unique blend of experience. For more than a decade she helped build and manage the in house search capability of one of the most important media and entertainment companies in the country with responsibility for placing senior candidates in the whole spectrum of functional disciplines. Before this role, she carried out marketing and technology searches at retained search boutiques where her expertise in cutting edge research techniques enabled her to identify and place VP, SVP, and C-Level candidates in Fortune 500 companies throughout diverse industries.

Carol has a Masters in Library Science and a BA in English from Queens College as well as a Masters in Educational Technology from California State University. She began her search career by starting the first Marketing Research practice ever established at Management Recruiters and went on to co-found a search firm, Manning Lloyd, which specialized in placing marketing leaders at top consumer, pharmaceutical, and technology companies like Colgate, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and IBM. In 1999 she joined the technology practice of Handy Associates where she was responsible for filling senior IT roles including the EVP of Corporate Systems at General Motors and the CTO of CS First Boston. She subsequently moved to Thorndike Deland, the world’s first search firm, to lead their research and candidate development function. It was there that she began working with Cablevision to fill key positions in technology and communications.

In 2001 Carol was brought on board at Cablevision to help build a new in house search firm. Her mandate was to ensure that the Company’s recruiting technology, search protocols, and candidate database were state of the art. As the hands-on Director of Executive Recruiting, she and her team were responsible for building complete corporate infrastructures for two spin-offs – MSG and AMC – as well as placing top executives in senior roles in core functions including Digital Product Management, Interactive Advertising, Software Development, Marketing Research, Field Operations, Customer Service, Programming and Production, Corporate Communications, and Engineering.

Currently, Carol has joined Alliance Resource Network (ARN). She shares their vision of the multi-faceted role modern Executive Search needs to play to truly partner with their clients. Barbara Robinson

Research Consultant

Barbara Robinson spent the early part of her career with Deloitte and Touche, the world’s largest consultancy, working within their Public Relations Department and then in the Publications Department. In this capacity, she was recognized by the Partner leading the Management Consulting Division for the US and was recruited to maintain a national database of all jobs within the Management Consulting practice by industry. Here she honed her research and organizational skills coordinating with all their US offices. She was quickly promoted within the department to the position of Training Coordinator and was responsible for various aspects of the Corporate Training function including event planning, partner presentations, and guest appearances.

Barbara joined Alliance Resource Network in 2011 to lead ARN’s research function. She is responsible for business research and intelligence including target list research, name generation, organizational mapping, and candidate sourcing and development.

Teresa Cannella

Manager, Finance and Administration

Teresa Cannella is a world class administrator. She joined Alliance Resource Network (ARN) in 2006 from Viacom where she successfully supported top executives including Colette Gambino. As the CAO, Teresa is responsible for assisting with all office operations processes and procedures and providing administrative support to our search team as well as managing our state of the art recruiting software solutions. In addition she manages all outside vendors.

With over 15 years experience, Teresa has administrative experience working within the media and entertainment, medical, and financial services industries. She is an integral part of ARN as she works closely with our clients and candidates alike to ensure the search process is successful.
